SFO for a day!

This weekend has been cold *boo* but luckily for us we got to run away from the cold just for a little bit. On Saturday I was able to get the night off, and Sunday I was already off, so I asked Fehi about going to SFO for my cousins's baby blessing, and 4 hours later we were on our way to Frisco! We packed a carry-on cause we were only going for the night and coming back Sunday night and then we called my mom and told her we were on our way.  In all my time that I've worked for Delta we've NEVER taken just a little trip somewhere.  It's always been a 2 or 3 week trip to Hawaii so it was nice to get away for one night. 

We got to SFO around 6pm, got a rental and drove out to East Palo Alto where my Aunt Ane lived.  My mom was staying with her too, and told us it would be ok for us to just stay there.  She had such a cute little house and because she works nights she let us stay in her room, which was MUCH better than staying in a hotel! :) She had the most comfortable bed ever. :)  That night we drove to my Aunt Sela's house where my grandparents were staying (they flew up also) and we got to eat some good food.  After that we left to none-other than JACK-IN-THE-BOX lol, you know we had to get some of that. :) Then we headed back home to my Aunty Ane's house.

The next day (Sunday) we got up early got ready for church, packed our things and headed out to the baby blessing for my cousin's daughter.  The chapel was sooo packed because there were 3 baby blessings in total.  After the blessing we headed over to my Uncle Vita's house where he fed us all some yummy tongan food.  I will never get tired of Tongan food. lol. 

After that we left for another baby blessing for another cousin of mine, and then my Uncle Vita treated us to Ihop.  My husband loves going to anything on my family's side because they always treat us so good, always feeding us and making sure we were taken care of while we were there.  Gotta love family! :)

The weather was perfect! We kept the windows rolled down, so we could feel the nice cool breeze and feel the warm sun (it was about 68 degrees out).  It was definitely worth it to do a one day trip and see my cali family that we haven't seen for a while. Now we're back to reality, back to work and school and can't wait to do another day trip somewhere. :)
