Family Trip: Sacramento

We are finally back from our little vacationing that we've been doing, and man am I exhausted. It all started on July 26th when we caught out the last flight out to San Francisco.  Luckily Fehi had Friday off, so that's why we wanted to get a head start by getting there Thursday night after he got off from work.  The flight was good, the kids were well behaved and very excited to be going on an airplane.  After getting our rental car the first place we ate at was Jack in the Box! I know people in California probably wonder why we go all crazy over it, but until they bring a Jack in the Box to SLC, it's always gonna be something we go crazy over when we are out of Utah.

Friday, July 27th, we met up with some of my other family members and took the 2 hour drive to Sacramento (where the wedding events were held).  We did a little, okay I lie, a LOT of shopping.  We discovered a store called "DD's Discount", which is like a much better version of Ross, so I scored a lot of clothes for my kids and they were cheap! Because Fehi only had Friday night off, we made the best of the time we had with him, eating out (of course) and spending some much needed family time.  We stayed at a really nice Hotel in South Sacramento, and it was about 15 minutes from the wedding venue.  That night was the Wedding Dance for the couple, and so we went and had a blast, my kids loved dancing, and they would even pull us up to dance with them.  Saturday Morning (July 28th) Fehi left on the 6:30am flight back to SLC because he had to work at 12:30pm, so we sent him off then got ready for the wedding.  The wedding was packed and the food was delicious! We left it a little early because my kids were getting restless, so we stopped by Church's chicken grabbed us a box of chicken and those yummy honey biscuits and then headed on back to our hotel.  I didn't care to do much but just relax with the kids in our hotel beds, and face-time with my hubby.  Sunday (July 29th) we had dinner provided by the groom's family, and let me tell you.. they know how to cook! (Too bad I didn't take a picture of all the yummy food).  We drove back to San Francisco later that night, and then the next day we flew out to Hawaii (post to come soon!).  Here's pics of our weekend in San Francisco and Sacramento.
